Seeing stars, moon, red, white

A thought about the flag of my home country, Singapore, came into my mind while listening to the sermon that Pastor Joshua was preaching yesterday. Or rather, my mind started to wander off while listening to the sermon. Pastor Joshua expounded on a verse in the bible that mentioned about the moon being the faithful witness.

First of all, how does the moon get its brightness? It actually reflects the light from the sun. So, in the bible, why does the moon known as the faithful witness? Who is the sun? Lord Jesus is the Sun. He is the Bright Morning Star. And the Sun emits Light, hence, Jesus is the Light. Light travels in a straight path, therefore, when the moon was not blocked by any other planets, it will reflect the light. And in this manner, it is reflecting or witnessing the Light. That's why the bible said that the moon is the faithful witness.

After listening to this portion, the Holy Spirit dropped the Singapore flag into my mind. And I was puzzled about it coz I was wondering what in the world that the Singapore flag pops into my mind. So, I asked the Lord, what was that for?

After listening to His explanation, I saw that our Singapore flag actually reflects our Lord Jesus Christ! Ok, you must also be wondering what the world has that got to do with Lord Jesus too!! Yeah!! I'm going around the mountain first.. kekeke..

Before the explanation, here's more details abt our Singapore flag..
The Flag consists of two horizontal halves, red above white. Red symbolises universal brotherhood and equality of men; white, purity and virtue. In the upper left corner, a white crescent moon and five white stars form a circle. The crescent moon represents a young nation on the rise. The five stars stand for Singapore's ideals of democracy, peace, progress, justice and equality.

Now!! Here I go!! The Singapore Flag -

1. 2 horizontal halves - red above white
Red represents Jesus' Blood that was shed,
White represents the Pure Divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Red is above white and this can also represents that His Blood is above just being pure, which means His Blood is purer than anything else.
2. The crescent moon -
In the earlier section of this blog, the moon is the faithful witness.
3. 5 stars!!!
5 represents Grace!
Stars - we are the stars that Abba Father promised to Abraham, and Abraham saw us too!!

When I saw this, I realised how special we Singaporeans are.. heee... I believe Daddy God created us to live in this country is to enjoy His every Goodness, Blessings. The best part is my friend reminded me that in the past, The Great Britain is known as the Great Lion, and Singapore has a lion too (though we are a bit smaller).. hahaha.. However, small can become great coz Daddy God makes the weak - strong, and the small - BIG!!!
