Isaiah 43

Yesterday had been a very draining day for me and I thank God for His timely message to me. I was so tied up with work and still had loads of work for me to clear. Seriously, I have no strength to work but I just rest in the Lord that He'll help me pull through. Some of my colleagues from my previous dept updated me on how one of my team mates (the usual irritating one) has actually arrowed me with more work and I've got to settle them as soon as possible.

How 'helpful' a person can be or rather how sickening that person can be. Such hypocrite. Well, while I was driving home from office, I was telling the Lord, 'Lord, help. I cannot manage the amount of workload and others are not helping. I'm very drained and not much ideas are coming up to resolve the issues that cropped up.' Eventually, fear started to creep in a little.

A while later, I realised that I was also letting my ipod run. And there it is.. The right music, right lyrics at the right time that I need it so much. I believed the Lord had arranged my day such that I got to listen to this song by Hillsong - Isaiah 43.

In the bible Isaiah 43 says,
1 But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob, and formed you, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name: you are mine.
2 When you pass through the water, I will be with you; in the rivers you shall not drown. When you walk through fire, you shall not be burned; the flames shall not consume you.
3 For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your savior. I give Egypt as your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in return for you.
4 Because you are precious in my eyes and glorious, and because I love you, I give men in return for you and peoples in exchange for your life.
5 Fear not, for I am with you; from the east I will bring back your descendants, from the west I will gather you.
6 I will say to the north: Give them up! and to the south: Hold not back! Bring back my sons from afar, and my daughters from the ends of the earth:
7 Everyone who is named as mine, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.
8 Lead out the people who are blind though they have eyes, who are deaf though they have ears.

After reading the verses, I felt so loved by God that He is still there for me wherever I am, whatever I'm doing. He is my God and He told me not fear, for He is my God. He will bring back all things that have been taken away from me. After listening to the song, my heart was so filled and I believed that Abba will restore everything to me.

Here's the lyrics of the song:-
Isaiah 43 (Hillsong)
When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you,
And the waves will not
Overcome you.
Do not fear,
For I have redeemed you,
I have called you by name,
You are Mine.

Chorus:
For I am the Lord your God
(I am the Lord your God),
I am the Lord your God (I am)
The Holy One of Israel
Your Savior
For I am the Lord your God
(I am the Lord your God),
I am the Lord your God (I am)
The Holy One of Israel
Your Savior
I am the Lord (do not fear)
I am the Lord (do not fear)
I am the Lord (do not fear)
I am the Lord (do not fear)

When you walk through the fire
You’ll not be burned,
And the flames will not
Consume you.
Do not fear,
For I have redeemed you,
I have called you by name,
You are Mine.

(Repeat chorus)
