Midweek Svc - 14 Jun '06 (Incomplete)

The sermon today is totally awesome. Praise the Lord! Well, the verses preached today:
1. Ephesians 1:7
2. Galatians 3:13-14
3. Jeremiah 32:6-17
4. Revelation 5:1-10
5. 2 Corinthians 4:7
6. Hebrews 11:1
7. Job 19:23-25

Something is burning in my heart and I will take some time to pen it down. It's related to the sermons today and not sure how this will go. Pastor Prince was sharing with us about the process of redeeming someone else's properties. In Israel, in order to be a kinsman redeemer, there are 3 main factors that must be fulfilled:
1. Must be a relative or come from the same family,
2. Must be able to purchase fully for the property,
3. Must be willing.

In the book of Jeremiah, Jeremiah himself is a picture of Jesus Christ. According to the Word of God, his uncle's son will approach him to be the kinsman redeemer. Hence, in v8 -

So Hanameel my uncle's son came to me in the court of the guard according to the word of Yahweh, and said to me, Please buy my field that is in Anathoth, which is in the land of Benjamin; for the right of inheritance is yours, and the redemption is yours; buy it for yourself. Then I knew that this was the word of Yahweh.

In this verse alone, there is something deeper that Pastor Prince shared.. And there's something about the names alone.. Jeremiah is the picture of Jesus Himself cos Jesus is our Redeemer and in this portion, Jeremiah is the kinsman redeemer.

Hanameel - Hanan means Grace (Favor of God), Meel - Place (in Hebrew, this
means the place of God's favor)

Anathoth - Answered prayer in Hebrew

That means, Answered prayer is in the place of God's favor. Whenever we believed that we are in the place of God's favor, answered prayers are there coz Jesus is our kinsman redeemer. Furthermore, we are the Benjamin generation. Awesome! Praise the Lord.
