Law and Grace

Sometimes I tend to ponder what's the difference between working under law and working under grace. This can been seen or rather sensed in our daily lives simply juz at work. Having a Christian boss is not altogether good or how should I put it? Not altogether desireable, I should say. I used to think, oh.. working under a Christian boss would be nice. But what sort of doctrine is he/she based on? Law or grace?

I'm not saying that my boss isn't that bad. In fact, he can be a good boss to a certain extent. Well, nobody is perfect though. Neither am I perfect. However, all of us are made perfect in Him. But how many of us can believe that? Even when we can believe that, to what extent? I believe even a little makes makes the whole world round. Like what Jesus said (Matt 17:20) - ... Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Just by saying, it's already a faith like a grain of mustard seed. Situations will change, circumstances will change. How simple things are but how difficult it is to work that out. There will be people who will think otherwise, but how much does that person be able to understand the other? Some people will think, they can understand but how much can they understand deep in their hearts? Some people will say, hey, it's all up to you whether you want to do it or not. You don't want it, then I cannot force you. It's you who do not want it.

When I was younger, I hardly understood why people can get offended with words. After these years, I slowly understood how words can really kill. A simple sentence may kill another. How? Condemnation. A person can feel condemned upon hearing words spoken against them or rather just to them. Words can be very subtle. A little misinterpretation can lead a person to condemnation though it seemed harmless to another.

Likewise, when we read the bible, we ought to pray before we start so that the Word of God does not end up bringing condemnation to our hearts. Having a discerning heart that understood God's love and His heart for us is very important, otherwise the person will find only death from the bible and not life.

Now I'm wondering what am I writing. Anyway, just a blog and some of my thoughts.. Not worth more than a penny..
